Infernax follows the adventures of a great knight who returns to his homeland, only to discover that it is plagued with unholy magic. During your quest to locate and eradicate the source of this corruption, you will encounter ruthless creatures, dangerous beasts, and precarious terrains. Each decision you make is crucial. Will you choose to slay or help someone? Will you utilize your experience gained from slashing monsters to obtain more life, mana, or damage? Ponder carefully before making your choice, as a single decision can alter the game's outcome.

By vanquishing as many monsters as possible, you can earn money to purchase better weapons and armor from the blacksmith, allowing you to gear up and grow stronger for your journey of combat. Each decision you make unlocks different side quests to acquire powerful weapons, skills, or money. Storm the Castle and defeat its bosses before more innocents succumb to the mysterious curse afflicting your land. Ultimately, only you can purge the land of Upel of these monsters, through whichever means you choose.

The game features multiple endings based on player decisions, challenging castle-dungeons, and numerous boss battles. Additionally, players will face ruthless bloodthirsty monsters intent on their demise. A level up system allows players to tailor their experience to their liking, while new items and skills can be purchased and unlocked to aid in the quest to reverse the curse.
