Alice's Mergeland

The boy was running through the park, kicking a soccer ball ahead of him. He laughed as he chased after it, his sneakers pounding against the pavement.

As he played, the sun began to sink lower in the sky, casting a warm golden light over the trees and the grass. The boy's movements became more leisurely as the evening approached, and he eventually came to a stop near a small pond.

Sitting down on a nearby bench, the boy watched as the ducks glided gracefully across the water. He took a deep breath, the air filled with the scent of flowers and freshly mown grass. It was a peaceful scene, and the boy felt a sense of contentment wash over him.

In the distance, he could hear the sound of children playing on the playground, their voices rising and falling in laughter and delight. The boy smiled, remembering his own joyful moments spent on those swings and slides.

As the sky turned a deep shade of orange and pink, the boy knew it was time to head home. He reluctantly stood up from the bench and began to make his way back through the park, the soccer ball once again at his feet.

Although the day was coming to an end, the boy felt grateful for the time he had spent outdoors, surrounded by nature and the simple pleasures of life. He knew that he would return to the park again, to experience its beauty and tranquility once more.
